Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa Moving Show to Las Vegas

The New York-broadcast TV chat show "LIVE! with Regis and Kelly" is to tape the week of Nov. 23 at the new Encore at Wynn Las Vegas resort, ABC said.

The November trip will mark the show's first visit to Las Vegas in nine years.

"Las Vegas is the ideal place to produce a talk/variety show," Michael Gelman, executive producer of "LIVE! with Regis and Kelly," said in a statement Thursday. "Vegas has color and excitement; it's filled with interesting people; and it has an unbelievable roster of talent. And we're so happy to be working with Encore at Wynn Las Vegas -- there's no better setting for the show than the top new resort in town."

Andrew Pascal, president of Wynn Las Vegas and Encore, said his company "very excited and honored" to have the TV show set up shop at his resort.

"The show is always entertaining, fun and spirited, and we look forward to being a part of it and introducing our property to its many viewers," Pascal said.
