Zagat Survey has launched a travel guide that focuses on all things Las Vegas and what it found is that Las Vegas ranks as the most expensive places to eat.
The average cost of a meal is $44.44, according to Zagat. That is about $4 more than a meal in New York.
The guide is based on the reviews of more than 5,000 participants who rated nearly 800 restaurants, nighclubs, shops, hotels golf courses and attractions. The guide is designed for locals and tourists.
The Bellagio ranked as the most popular hotel but the Wynn scored #1 for top overall. Some restaurants that ranked at the top of the list included Restaurant Charlie at the Palazzo, Cut which is Wolfgang Puck's steak house and coming in 2009 Theo's at CityCenter.
When it comes to the nightclub scene, Gold Diggers at the Golden Nugget, Rok in New York-New York and Canyon Club at the Four Queens made the list.
Nordstrom was named the most popular store and Brioni rated top quality. Reflection Bay at Lake Las Vegas was named the most popular golf course.
